A little bit about Lige
Meeting Lige Williamson for the first time, one may not see anything special beyond the warm smile and friendly disposition. Just like any other phenomenon, he transforms beyond his simple charm and back home disposition into something way beyond the sum of his parts.
He came to Delta Junction as one of many acts that were part of the Deltana Fair. After his performance he became the small city’s favorite. At 18 he is well on his way to making himself known beyond this area and even state.
The following performances were done quickly on a Sunday evening in the basement of Mike Kingston using a microphone and a recorder. They came to me as single mono tracks. I did what I could and despite the limited means at recording these tracks, Lige’s passion and talent shine through. He can’t make a bad recording because He’s too talented. So with no hype or studio tricks I am proud to place these simple recordings here, for as long as Lige lets me. I am guessing at the songs names, and I think the first six are originals. I’ll be placing more information on Lige and linking his own websites etc as soon as I know them
